he is comparing the eyes of a killer, a very sinful person to the eyes of someone he loves and describes her eyes as 'sacred' and this gives him a sense of security and warmth that all around him the world is going to shit he can fall back on the reassurance that there are some nice, loving people out there. ... like me! hehe :)

generally people tend not to dwell on the sad things in life and move on to the happy things. those who don't generally end up committing suicide. Being happy is a good thing, but you have to respect your sadness at least once in your life. There's gonna be rain days like it or not. you can't chase away the clouds, just let them pass.
