Like it was said earlier, this song's a tribute to KRS-1 and hip hop, in general. Brad's lyrics never seize to blow me away, no matter how many times I hear them.

Does anyone else find it interesting that in his tribute to hip-hop and KRS-ONE that he chooses to talk about steaks and hamburgers? I don't know anyone else who could talk about something so simple, but with the little twist that he pulls in all of his songs, makes it more meaningful.

Maybe I'm just rambling, but I think it's more about how hip-hop came about. Why rappers did just that rather than going to school...also expresses problems with the school system (which is the start and end of it all).

PS. Why are people in here whining and starting static? No one cares if you're Irish, or if you don't know how to use apostrophes... you are complaining about stupid shit like that when Brad is pooring his heart out to us about the injustice that so many are faced with...thrown into a society that has no more opportunity than the chance of becoming asst. manager at carl jr's...do you think they knew where to put their apostrophes?

Anyone that likes hip-hop and sublime should DEFINITELY check out KRS-one. as someone said, he is THE godfather of hip-hop basically, i dont know where it would be without him. Also, sublime got much of their musical style from him, if you listen to KRS then put in a sublime CD, it's the same dub style shit, i hate to say it, but sublime ripped off KRSone heavily, they used lots of his shit. but sublime's still the best band, ever, regardless.

What the hell is KRS-TWO and KRS-THREE????? It amazes me that some people don't know who KRS-ONE is. They just did a tribute to him on VH1 on the hip hop awards or whatever it was called. I was never an avid fan, but I know who he is and I grew up listening to him.

To me this song is about how KRS-ONE exposed the members of Sublime to hip-hop culture and they're thanking him for that.

And how in the hell am I supposed to know that that was sarcasm??? It came across as sheer ignorance to me. There probably really are people who have no idea who KRS-ONE is or a lot of other famous people whose music does not appeal to them. I just assumed you were one of them. I can see now how I come across as ignorant because I doubt now that KRS-TWO and THREE exists, but I honestly thought that was something I had never heard of. Also, there's a person who wrote something earlier about thinking it was a radio station. Or was that sarcasm too??
