Get Out! (Original 40oz. version) Lyrics

My place is not a home
Don't make no difference
But I have found
That I need a place to stay
I never listen to what the landlord man say
You should've seen the flops in my house
We were jumping on walls and kicking ceilings
Now a days people listen to me, when I say get out!

Hold me and don't let go
Makes no difference that your a hoe
Cause I need a place to stay
And though disease was just the price I paid
In days of old that how it used to be, oh yes indeed
That girl is dead to me now and I say get out!

All the time the people want to know the meaning of the word sublime
It ain't anarchist, it's the shit you missed
We get the minute man loop and add a peni twist
We know you mutha that this is the shit that you put in the box
And say damn it's a hit
And to all the radios and the tv shows
Cause we don't kiss no ass or kick down no free shows
What you get is the kind no econo gang or cess with yellow lover on the D-R-U-M-S

Let the lovin take a hold over me
Let the lovin take a hold over me
Cause all I see is your fussin' and fightin'
1992 so lets all start uniting
Put your hands together be the best you can be
Let this jam take us to 1993
Stay positive and the love will come back to me

ok sentimentalfool.....and chelzador:

yes, its number two on second hand....but read the cover book thing. miguel says that the original contains samples from, if i remember, a "long haired, British burnout band which will remain nameless".......that band was led zeppelin, and the song is the lemon song. sublime originally released this song (Get Out) on the Skunk Records version of 40 oz. When MCA signed them, they discovered that they didnt have consent of LZ and were forced to drop it (along with "Rawhide", and the last like 2 minutes of "thanks"). So sentimentalfool, you obviously have the MCA version.....as do i. and that sucks, because "get out" was much better "original" than it was "remixed" (as found on second hand), not only because of the samples, but also the whole hip hop part in the middle. however, if you can find Get Out original online, i suggest you download it.....much worth it. im out........try me at LedZeppelin1965 on aim with further questions on the matter.

bud and eric are equally responsible for sublimes outstanding talent.... your comment is incredibly ignorant. everyone only ever mentions brad.. and his lose to heroin, why not focus on bud who overcame the addiction?

yes. bud and eric are good. but brad started the band. copyrighted the name. wrote the songs. sang the songs. told bud and eric what to play.and started a music revolution that has completely changed the music industry today. he is solely responsible for sublime's talent in every way

Isn't this on "Robin' the Hood"? It's not on 40 oz, I still love the lyrics though.

definitely agree, this version is WAY better because it has "miguel rap" which is golden, and the fade ending which sound a ton better than the drunken stupor ending of the remix.

This is great in both versions. The original gets a little choppy during the scracthin and sampling part. And I don't know wat the hell ur talkin about black lung cuz i love that part at the end of the remix version.

why every time there is a rap you guys say its sonmeone other than Brad? Brad could spit fire with the rest of them...Rap is a cornerstone for Sublime...
