DJ's Lyrics

all of the djs surely have taken a lesson
start talkin trash and Ill come with my Smith and Wesson

a little competition comes my way
and it always winds up the same

but the stone that the builder refused
shall be the head cornerstone

but their

aint nothin wrong
aint nothin right
and still I sit and lie awake at night

all of the djs surely have taken a lesson
try talkin trash and Ill come with my Smith and Wesson

enough dj.s come with enough enough stylee
but when I bust my lyrics we all know its wicked and wiley

aint nothin wrong
aint nothin right
and still I sit and lie awake at night

oh you better strapped with your gat if you wan walk with me
I bound to come down with the new stylee
rockin rubadub known as reggae music
gonna come down with the new lyrics

cuz it

just aint no thing
oh I said
its been a real long time

oh but there

aint nothin wrong
aint nothin right
and still I sit and lie awake all night

oh yea

rubadub blender
a new mixer go
I am the one dj with enough flava
it go
here I go here Im come
heara the dubbed down dj
lord have this grilled cheese

I mean ah

I am Jamican but I ain't no freak
I caught the man Ino with a ten pound bag of tweak
(ha ha ha-tweaking)
(damn)

hold on, though we call it ghost rider
every time we see them you fulfill the danger

ain't nothin' wrong
ain't nothin' right
and still I sit and lie awake all night

oh, oh yea

dreddy got a job to do
and we might fulfill his mision
to see his pain would be his greatest ambition
but ah we will survive in this world of competition
shooting guns and our ammunition

bo bo bo bo bo bo bo
go go go go go go go go go go go go

I won't wait so long
I said
I won't wait so long for you

oh oh yeah
mmm mmm
ooh oh
hard to get so
much
mmm mmm

stop your messing around
ahahah ah
better think of your future
ahahah ah
time you straighten right out
ahahah ah
or youll wind up in jail

I love this song! The very end reminds me of my best friend and I, we never get caught seperately, but once we're together we get into so much trouble....smoking weed, smoking dirty, belly dancing, sneaking out and chillin....all we do is listen to sublime (it's all we can agree on)!

Fucking amazing song. You can't beat the energy in this song. It's got such a lively feel to it. Bradley was a legend, and I wish the mainstream music world would recognize him as such. Some people do, but he's never on any top 100 lists, at least not on MTV or VH1. He was so great, such a charismatic front-man, and the other two guys could play instruments really well. Eric Wilson and his awesome bass lines. Bud Gaugh and his drumming... How they came together is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I doubt there will be a band in their genre(s) ever again that has music anywhere near as good and diverse. Brad was the master DJ, and nobody could touch him.

The very end of this song is in fact the beginning of "A message to you Rudy" by The Specials. That's a very funny band who makes..humm..well..(very difficult to describe) English Ska. Yes, English Ska! And I advise everybody who likes Ska listenning to this pretty good song (and the rest of the album).

"The very end of this song is in fact the beginning of "A message to you Rudy" by The Specials."

and the "dreddy got a job to do" verse and "stone that the builder refused" are both from Ride Natty Ride by Bob Marley.

I wouldn't be suprised if this whole song was pieced from various ska/regae songs
