he fell in love with her although everyone thought it was only fun. Even thought he never said how he felt towards her, she still waited around to hear it and he was thankful that she stayed for him to say it.

I love this song. It reminds me of one of my best friends, who's come back whenever I shut them out of my life intentionally & has always been there when I need it.
this song is about how this guy really likes this girl, and he knows that she likes him, but its hard for him to express his feelings.. so hes just happy that she still liked him when he finally told her
when i first started writing this i was thinking it was all about persistance, then i realized that it dosent matter what i think, as long as i enjoy the song.

And its wierd , cause the first time i heard it, was in my good guy friend's car and i WAS sickly looking out the window, pretending to have a good time. even though it was the same thing that we do every night... :S anyways...
