Let me take you on a trip
Around the world and back
And you won't have to move, you just sit still
Now let your mind do the walking
And let my body do the talking
Let me show you the world in my eyes

I'll take you to the highest mountain
To the depths of the deepest sea
And we won't need a map, believe me
Now let my body do the moving
And let my hands do the soothing
Let me show you the world in my eyes

That's all there is
Nothing more than you can feel now
That's all there is

Let me put you on a ship
On a long, long trip
Your lips close to my lips
All the islands in the ocean
All the heaven's in the motion
Let me show you the world in my eyes

That's all there is
Nothing more than you can touch now
That's all there is

Let me show you the world in my eyes
Let me show you the world in my eyes
Let me show you the world in my eyes
Let me show you the world in my eyes
Let me show you the world in my eyes
Let me show you the world in my eyes
Let me show you the world in my eyes
Let me show you the world in my eyes

A song about a tender, romantic, gentleman who wants to make love to (not F---) his partner, who is probably a virgin, and this guy is telling his virgin partner how sensational making love with him will be. It's not a song about F---ing or even about sex. It's about making love.

All you sex addicted m. f-ers need to understand that Depeche Mode is not about f--ing or sex. It's all about romanticism. In fact this band is not for everybody to be crazy about. Not for f-ing punks and junkies, f-ing idiots that say they love DM just for one song from the radio. This band is purely for all the guys and girls in this world that feel they have something romantic in their hearts and Depeche Mode makes us feel different from the others, makes us feel that we glide in this life because of this divine music. DM is my life and I am sure I´m not the only one in this world to say so. We are in fact a DM-Nation!!! Com on guys, who's with me?

P.S - ...the world in my eyes means - let me show you how f-ing romantic I am. Anatolie S., Moldova

Funny, i always thought this was a song about a guy who's all talk. He promises the girl this highly spiritual out-of-body experience, and in the end he doesn't deliver. Hence the lines "that's all there is, nothing more that you can feel now, that's all there is". Doesn't sound like a great time was had. More like, "you kidding me? That's it?" The guy doesn't seem to mind though. He got what he wanted, and will most likely move on to the next conquest, seducing his target with the same smooth lines. I think the song's got a sarcastic undertone to it.

    My Interpretation

This song is about bringing a woman to orgasm. Men get off almost every time and he's saying, "Let me show you how good it can be when someone actually cares about what you feel." It's a very romantic notion since it's about being selfless in lovemaking. The line, "That's all there is. Nothing more than you can feel now" means nothing else in the world matters when you're coming. It's not about disappointment. On the contrary, it's about it being such a huge deal that for that moment it encompasses your whole world.

What better way to start the best album every in ur career? The Violator album is flawless. This song like many DM songs hits ur soul. I never get sick of this album I have been listening to it since I was 14 years old way back in 1990 when this album first came out and it still is the best i have ever listened to. Even some hardcore metal fans love this album. I'll stand by my comment on Amazon and say that if everyone in the world had a copy of Violator the world would be a calmer place even just for an instant till the cd was finished playing LOL.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
