Mindfields Lyrics

This is dangerous - Open up your head feel the shell-shock
This is dangerous - I walk through mindfields so watch your head rock
This is dangerous - Open up your head feel the shell-shock

So watch your head rock!

This is dangerous - Open up your head feel the shell-shock
This is dangerous - I walk through mindfields so watch your head rock
This is dangerous - Open up your head feel the shell-shock

This shock
I walk through mind fields, eh... this shock
I walk through mind fields so watch your head rock
I walk through mind fields so watch your head rock

This stanza is pretty much the whole song. The song gives you a sense of ‘I’m powerful, I’m confident, I’m strong, watch me!’ “This is dangerous” states that the narrator’s confidence within itself could be dangerous. The battle imagery is used as symbolism to show that just as getting ready for battle, people often get ‘psyched’ up and confident, and this is the same in life, getting psyched for life and preparing for life can be just as exhilarating. The narrator walks through his mind, replacing the word of “mine” with “mind” as if to use it as a pun for this song to show that we are on the ‘battlefield’ of his mind rather than an actual battlefield. If you are dealing with struggles, such as finances, you become a bit more ‘aware’ of your financial status from then on and keep yourself in check, as if you were getting ready for battle, keeping yourself grounded and attentive to areas of your life you would normally not pay attention to.
