I just don't get why they went so far with it. These lyrics are so stupid and it's obvious they were trying to catch gay fans. There's NOTHING subtle or metaphorical on the entire song. No poetry at all... bad bad lyrics.

I LOVE This song. :D It makes me so happy... DM wasn't really DM when Vince Clarke was there. They were like a whole nother band. But I still think this song is a masterpeice. It's just fun!

I'm still laughing at what you said miraeja, that it's the gayest song ever written...as a matter of fact I couldn't imagine a gayest song than this... imagine how embarassed dave must've been when he had to sing this.....! it's really a fun song though, it's synth pop at its best, vince clarke is really the greatest synth pop composer!

As much as I love DM, with all my heart I do...god, what an awful song. They themselves hate this song, lol. Thank god Martin didn't write this...

Yeah, they're all straight! Martin and Dave have kids for sure, and Dave is on wife 3 I think? You also need to sit back and look at their style considering the times and the venues they were playing.

I think everyone is crazy and this is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, Depeche Mode song.

I think this song is about someone who is so conceited they think they are such a pretty boy. I think we all know someone like that who thinks their shit don't stink. I am a huge DM fan but this is definately not even close to one of my favorites.

Well, yeah, that's how Vince Clark wrote... his words were merely random phrases scribbled on a page, in most cases. He's openly admitted this! But you figure his method yielded a few good songs at least... I have to agree with all of you though that this track is probably one of the most gay, random and un-lyrical songs ever! But it still makes me smile when I hear it!

MY GOD THIS SONG IS WORSE THAN CRACK! It's terrible, it's killing me, but I can't stop listening to it.
