Two Minute Warning Lyrics
We're lying by the orange sky
Two million miles across the land
Scattered to the highest high
Expect they'll either laugh or cry
No sex, no consequence, no sympathy
You're good enough to heat
Two minute warning
Two minutes later
When time has come
My days are numbered
The dawning of another year
Marks time for those who understand
One in four still here
While you and I go hand in hand
No radio, no sound, no sin, no sanctuary
So welcome to your last
The sun, the solitude, the cemetary
So welcome to your last
By Fistan Majere
Two million miles across the land
Scattered to the highest high
Expect they'll either laugh or cry
No sex, no consequence, no sympathy
You're good enough to heat
Two minutes later
When time has come
My days are numbered
Marks time for those who understand
One in four still here
While you and I go hand in hand
No radio, no sound, no sin, no sanctuary
So welcome to your last
So welcome to your last

This song is about nuclear war
I agree with Sozluk.
It's an Alan Wilder song. It's very simplistic, but has a great hook.
The song title comes from the "doomsday clock" created by the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists where midnight represents the outbreak of an actual nuclear war. So when Gahan sings "2 minute warning! 2 minutes later when time has come...my days are numbered" he is talking about the anticipation of an impending nuclear attack.
