What If You Don't Fly Lyrics
but that's a lie, just like the book you’re seeing through
you don't know why you hate the human things you do
but when you die, lover you'll be sorry, sorry
your righteous life has only been
so take a chance - you don't convince me anymore
you need a screw, you need to cast away your blinds
cuz when I blew all the elation wasn't mine
your righteous life has only been
a righteous lie, oh yeah, open up your eyes

i think this song is about someone who is on their 'high horse' but they really prolly had sex with some other than their spouse and ("you need a screw") everything they stand for is a lie and if they don't fly to heaven then they go to hell. So get off your high horse. thats just my interpretation

This is a great song because its a topic you never hear people singing about. Its philosophical in that it asks questions about the existance of God, and the authenticity of the Bible. The girl is in the mindset that sex is evil and that she should ignore her urges. Hes asking her how shell feel at the end of her life after shes been denying herself pleasure for so long, and then it turns out theres no such thing as heaven and shes just wasted all her time on earth. He knows that she wants to sleep with him and wants to enjoy herself: "cuz when I blew all the elation wasn't mine" is talking about them messing around (it aint a sin if it dont go in) and he could tell she was enjoying herself as much as he was.

i love it

Sounds like she condemned him for some sin or vice of his and dumped him and he's saying get off your high horse and don't be so anal. Listen to your body/mind/heart, not the bible/what your taught/society.
