I think this is a song for anyone who feels like they're alone "mothers & suckers alike". Chris is saying we're all the same no matter who or where you're from & we should just try & do the best we can do in life. We all experience loneliness & pain but even though we all bleed and we all die, at least we have each other..."We can bleed together". R.I.P. Chris Cornell (you are truly missed)

I love this song! Makes me think about the boy I like. Not whole the text, but some parts. Especially the line "I know youre sick and alone" Ive never talked to this boy, but I can see hes lonely. He looks unhappy and weak. The "We can bleed together"-part makes me think about him and me. If we got to know each other, we could go through all the shit together. we could support and help each other. In a way, I know how he feels. I actually dont know what the song really is about, but it just sounds so good to me, because of these lines, which I can refer to my own life, and the music makes these feelings even stronger.

Everything except the chorus reminds me of something I'd hear on Nirvana's "Nevermind." Good song though, but it seems kind of uncharacteristic of SG.

Even though the rest of the song definitely doesn't lay credence to my claim, I think the song is about relationships, mainly because of the "We can bleed together" chorus. I dunno, I think relationships are always about two people bleeding together. It's such an interesting way to say it, though, "bleed together." Suffer together, really. But maybe even rally support for one another. When I first heard this I thought Cornell was singing "BE together" and I chuckled when I later figured out he was saying BLEED. Still means the same thing to me, though, either way.

This song reminds me of a girl I used to like a lot. I really wanted to be with her, and she used to cut herself, so to me this song sounded like "I want to be there with you, even through the worse."

I think this song is directed towards Soundgarden's fans. A farewell to the "sick and lonely" Soundgarden fans stating that Soundgarden and their fans can "bleed together" possibly meaning being depressed together. Lyrically and sonically, this was the best possible way Soundgarden could've said good bye and disbanded. I totally agree with "dosw" saying it sounds like something off of Nirvana's Nevermind. One of my favorite songs ever.
