I am going to go out on a limb and suggest something different to the above.

I think it is mostly about lonliness. The singer has spent a lot of time with her own thoughts. She seeks the company or intimacy of somebody she admires, but doesn't know very well.

The singer nearly forgets she has everything she needs. The air around her nourishes her - yet she forgets that it is important she so desperately wants the nourishment of intimacy with a paricular person.

The singer has spent so much time with her own thoughts that she is no longer able to amuse herself. She needs the injection of energy or the different outlook of somebody else.

The singer is saying that she thinks she could do the same for this other person you'. Provide the energy or different outlook to make themsing'

but i guess you can't really see the wind it just comes in and fills the space and everytime something moves you think that you have seen its face and i've always got my guitar to play but i can do that anyday

The singer realises that she is trying to build up a complete picture of a person from very little information. She thinks she knows how fantastic this person is - but on reflection she doesn't really know. You can't directly observe somebody's persona - only the actions that they carry out - and this can be misleading. After a time further reflection on the small amount you have seen doesn't yield any more insight.

She amuses herself by playing guitar - but this doesn't alleviate the lonelinees.

Anyway - that's what I have always taken. Maybe you will disagree...

I adore this song. I'm surprised no one has commented. Just how the music flows, her voice and the lyrics. It's very pretty.

i think its about giving up everythign that makes you yourself to try to please the person you care about most and trying to get htem to understand what youre sacraficing

To me, this song is more about being so swept up with someone that you could care less if you do any of the things you usually do. You just want to be with that person and nothing else.

This song is AMAZING.

*Basically, it could very well be talking about how the person isn't giving her the chance, or the day to show herself.. that she has what it takes. Or that she will do "anything" to reside with that person, but they just will never know because it seems to me.. they may just not give two shits. And then it could mean that they are in the relationship annnd the man isn't paying enough attention to her and has become distant .. And she is becoming what shes not to have the saticfaction of that person and only that person to pay attention. As well as, her giving up all the things she does.. FOR that person

I think this song is about finding someone who's out of the ordinary. The kind of person who takes your breathe away and makes everything different. She can do anything else any day, but you dont fall in love for life every day. No matter what it means, it's absolutely gorgeous
