Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
From Wikipedia: The title Renholdër is a backwards message: If you read the title (including the umlaut) backwards, it says Re: D Lohner. This is a nod to the Nine Inch Nails member Danny Lohner who was in an early version of the band. He works under the pseudonym Renholdër. Also, playing the song backwards, 22 seconds in, you can hear someone say in a high-pitched voice "Hallelujah, Danny Lohner".
it definately has something to do with Dan Lohner, not exactly sure. As h8machine said, it says RE: Dlohner, if you reverse it and turn the dots thar are above the "e" vertical. I listened to it backwards, and the first few seconds, i hear "danny lohner...danny lohner...." but the rest I cant make out...if it says that, the rest must be something...
i agree with mudvayned... i find this song to be fascinating and incredibly cryptic... and although the one line doesnt give much away, it's really quite... chilling
I read somewhere that its a message to dan lohner of nine inch nails because rearrangeing the letters and the 2 dots above the 'o' make 're:d lohner' i cant remember exacty who but someone from this band has known him personaly for a while.
and hey, i contributed these lyircs. not jondude11
"i will not fall down" i believe is the only known lyric, since it's what it says in runes in the APC booklet. i originally submitted just that "i will not fall down"... so, i guess that's why it says it.
but, tell me, are those lyrics accurate to the cd? i know he mumbles a lot of incoherent things. is that what it says?
and now that i listen to it, i think these lyrics are for the most part correct, but ive only seen the one line "i will not fall down" on lyric sites.. did you figure this out yourself?
Actually, after h8machine submitted lyrics for this song, I sent in corrections. h8machine submitted:
I could know who you are
I could know you're mine
Lies
I'm out
I'm out of my old town
I changed "I could know you're mine" to "I could know your mind" and "I'm out of my old town" to "I will not fall down". If you listen carefully, you can hear it.
