i really love this song. i live in a white suburban neighboorhood full of girls and guys like this - it's a 50's reject town. i hate it ... but this song sums it up perfectly. its almost a sonnet, but not quite, which is very cool. the last line is the best, because its so true - as you grow up and look back it is never what you thought it would be. i just really really like this song, musically and lyrically.

dcfc is just so great at writing the endings to their songs. like this song, the ending is very thought-provoking and its something everyone can relate to.

The lines about the parking lot refer to fights, the teachers bend the rules by not breaking up fights after school in the parking lot. It was always the bikerack when I was younger.
