There was probably a JFK book passed around Scott Benzel's friends, namely the filmmaker Richard Linklater. The book was probably about the conspiracy theory that JFK and Jackie were amphetamine addicts. According to his film Slacker they had a doctor named "Dr. Feelgood," who would supply them with whatever they needed for "exhaustion."
