Langour rises reaching
To turn off the alarm
And there's never so much seething
That it can't be disarmed
You just
Stop it up,
Pass it on
Shove it to shelf it,
To leave it off and
Turnover
Lounging against your weapons,
Until your muscles find lock
In the ease of that position
A residue of tremor passes
As some cherie amour suggests
That maybe it was time to smash things up
But just
Stop it up
Pass it on
Shove it to shelf it
To leave it on and
Turnover
Stop, Turnover
Stop, Turnover
Stop it up,
Pass it on
Shove it to shelf it
To leave it on and
Turnover
To just
Stop it up
Pass it on
Shove it to shelf it
To leave it on and
Turnover
I'm rolling
I'm only
I'm only sleeping
To turn off the alarm
And there's never so much seething
That it can't be disarmed
You just
Stop it up,
Pass it on
Shove it to shelf it,
To leave it off and
Turnover
Until your muscles find lock
In the ease of that position
A residue of tremor passes
As some cherie amour suggests
That maybe it was time to smash things up
But just
Pass it on
Shove it to shelf it
To leave it on and
Turnover
Stop, Turnover
Pass it on
Shove it to shelf it
To leave it on and
Turnover
Stop it up
Pass it on
Shove it to shelf it
To leave it on and
Turnover
I'm only
I'm only sleeping

"Turnover" is a reference to people 'turning off the alarm' that's alerting them to the problems in the world and then 'turning over' and going back to sleep.
As I am an obese man, my mind was dreaming of delicious pastries as I first heard this song.

analogy to people not reacting to social problems.
it's a richer comment on apathy and its scope broader than just social problems. can someone tell me who "cherie amour" is? other than someone stevie wonder sings about?
its about being lazy.
their most under rated song in my opinion.
p.s, fuck me, first post here in 4 years 0_0!
this one is only 4 months later. song is so fucking good, though. i like the general consensus here about what this song is about. i think it sounds about right.
Ian MacKaye has said that "Repeater" was an obscure reference to The Beatles\' album, Revolver – as both are guns and both words refer to the spinning of vinyl records – so... the last line of this tune – "I\'m Only Sleeping" – is no accident. So fucking cool!
