I can't help but think of nuclear testing when I hear this song. "the sky is burning", "the waters burning", and "the earth is burning" represents how the US and Soviets were testing nukes in the atmosphere, underwater and underground.
"world is not our facility we have a responsibility to use our abilities to keep this place alive" The world we live in isn't some labratory where we could haphazardly test things. We have to do everything we can to perserve our world.
yeah its fairly obviously what this song is about - there are some serious issues going on in the world and people only seem to care about their own personal problems
