Street Carp Lyrics
chino is reading this and saying to himself "what a bunch of morons"
the track is about a rowdy girl, and old friend, a pest rather. some one he use to hang with that would fight constantly, dragging him into unwanted conflicts
snaps at the walls is an expression for a rowdy person. fighter. someone who wont back down and does not take shit. chino, or who ever the speaker is supposed to be, is reluctant to give this girl his real address, but later breaks down and "confesses" his real address after the third time bumping heads with the girl. "theres all your eveidence" expressing him trying to convince her its finally legit.
the sequence 665, 645, 665. there are no drug references in this song. Chinos lyrics often have open meanings so the song can mean what ever anyone wants it to mean.
The words in the booklet WERE not the same due to censorship issues.
its a story about meeting someone on the street that you haven't seen in a long time and you really don't want to talk to them, but its somebody you are still infatuated with
Am I the only one that this song is about a district attorney that harrasses Chino? To me this song has meant just that always.
it is about a psychotic chick that he finds
well here's my new address 6 6 5 oh I confess there's all your evidence now take it home and fuck with it
that's the real last chorus of the song
i heard there was a video for this song. is that true??
I think it's about a girl that back in the day, was the girl every guy wanted. So she got to pick who felt loved and accepted. But the guy in the song was fortunate enough to be chosen by the girl he was infatuated with. So, years later, the two are walking on the street. Now she's just another girl, and she's taken attention to the guy in the song. But he's not interested because he knows what kind of person she is, and really doesn't want to get involved with her. He doesn't want to come across as cruel though, because he doesn't want to feel like all that time spent obsessing over her was just a waste, so he tries to spare her feelings by talking to her a little. But it's not like her cares, truly. Yes, there's a video. It's pretty simple-them playing in a warehouse and it flashes and stuff, nothing much, and not their best video.
It goes 664, then 615, 665, the last two choruses say confess there's all your evidence now take it home and fuck with it , but other than that it's all right...
For those that have been correcting the lyrics of this, the booklet of lyrics with the actual cd reads like the lyrics given here. Thanks sawg.
Well, like pretty much all deftones songs this one is about drugs. Its about a drug dealer that can't stay in one place for long because people will start to catch on... Back in the day, White Pony referred to cocaine.
