AFI are fucking piss,Davey Havok is a gay cunt, and "hunter" is a fucking crap root note hoppus wannabe bassist. Metallica do this song best, Cos they make it so heavy yet they keep it's happy rocking vibe.Plus,when Jason has that compression on his bass, it just sounds fucking awesome.
i love this song, i like metallica version better, but if it werent for the misfits, one of my favorite bands, thered be no metallica
Actually, Metallica's influences were Diamond Head and Motorhead - and AFI do a much better LIVE version of this song

all i can say is...metallica knows how to cover songs
Metallica's version just feels so much better. Instrumentation and voice, Hetfield's growl beats that adolescent whine of the guy from AFI. Metallica do good covers of every song, I've never heard a bad Metallica cover, they even out do the originals on many occasions (Sabbra Cadabra, Loverman, Die Die Darling). Still, I prefer the original Misfits version.
Metallica do a good cover of this song, i like it. I do prefer the Misfits version, Glenn Danzig has an amazing voice (but he such a dickhead). Yet to hear the AFI cover.
It's amazing how many people can't read properly, I said the AFI LIVE (ie, not studio) VERSION I had a copy and it's powerful and Davey doesn't sing, he spits it, kinda like Glenn but without singing.
the song is about someone who wants to die but doesnt want to kill himself. So he commits horrible crimes hoping that someone will kill him for it.
