I'm not sure what this is about but for me it's about an abusive relationship in which the man physically hits the woman and she's singing about it. It's a good song. Hole are great.

it's about abuse I guess, except in real life, she'd be the abusive one.
I'd say its a lot more complicated than abuse. literally, yes, it would seem to be about abuse but its most likely refering to how the love she had for kurt, and the sadness she had after his death hit her so hard. maybe causing her to reevaluate her purpose/goals - refering to the whole i saw god part.
i personally think its a love song kind of like when people say "you knocked me off my feet"? well i connect that to "he hit so hard i saw stars"
