After The Eulogy Lyrics
rise (x8)
written signed off
in the obituary
what happened to us
where's your anger
where's your fucking rage
watered down senses lost
lazy privileged
denial
and self gratified
a tradition
passed down to
our blood stained hands
give in
give up (x2)
rise (x3)
contented
to strive for
new worthless slogans
we miss our
potential
for action and substance
contended
to lie in
our boring vomit
suggesting
arrangements
while others are dying
stand up
fight back (x2)
how many
starving millions
have to die on our front doorsteps
how many
dying millions
have to crawl to our front doorsteps
written signed off
in the obituary
what happened to us
where's your anger
where's your fucking rage
watered down senses lost
where's your anger
where's your fucking rage (x8)
content and corrupted
contrived and disgusting
dig a hole it's all over
forget the words
and good intentions
unless we rise (x2)
rise (x3)
tear it down
rise (x15)

GOD i love the rage behind this song, the lyrics are great. I love the part where he screams "tear it down" Great song, maybe not one of BSFs best, but one of my personal favorites.
The chanting is "No Justice, No Peace." It's what the crowds shouted after the police officers were acquitted in the Rodney King Beating trial. It's the reasoning the angry mobs used for the Los Angeles riots in 1992. Without justice, there would be no peace on the streets of Los Angeles. I remember them shouting it on TV.
This song is about standing up for what you believe in regardless of if others are following the fucking crowd! RISE!!!
this song is soooo fucking good. I on the other hand thing this definatly is one of Boy Set Fire's best songs. Its a lot better than most of their emo shit.
i can't figure out what the chanting says at the starting something like "no such thing as peace" but anyways this song kicks ass reminds me of how america is
i always thought the chanting says "hope youre praying for peace" or something like that.. dude this song gives me chills every time i hear it
I think their hardcore and their emo shit is top notch and you cannot compare the two sides of their music. Both sides of bsf kick so much ass.
i always thought they were saying at the beginning "no justice no peace" but i could be wrong
they are definitely chanting 'no justice no peace', I've been to bsf shows and everyone is allways chanting that(starting with the band).
Great song, haven't seen them live yet, but i want to so badly
