Why I'm Here Lyrics
It's the reason for my pain
In a season to celebrate
I don't wanna be full of hate
For anybody, but it's too late
Everyone has been in my face
Telling me that I'm a disgrace
Showing me things that I must face
Telling me that they need their space
I can't love you anymore
I'm scared of the sound of it
It's the reason why I'm down
I'm beaten been pushed around
Hit the ceiling without a sound
Everyone I know considers me a clown
I can't love you anymore
I'm scared of the sound of it
I can't love you anymore
Woman, I just wanted more
I can't love you anymore
Scared of the sound of it
And woman, I just wanted more
It's the reason why I'm here
In a season to celebrate
I don't wanna be full of hate
For anybody, but it's too late
Telling me that I'm a disgrace
Showing me things that I must face
Telling me that they need their space
I'm scared of the sound of it
I'm beaten been pushed around
Hit the ceiling without a sound
Everyone I know considers me a clown
I'm scared of the sound of it
I can't love you anymore
Woman, I just wanted more
Scared of the sound of it
And woman, I just wanted more

I've always perceived this song about someone that keeps their feelings pent up.. no one really knows what's going through their head or heart for that matter. But the person actually has issues of their own to deal with (possibly depression or just the madness of everyday life) but they hide it behind a smile (the reference to being a clown part). Kick @$$ song though
okay, i just need to make a statement here...krazyKat, i didnt even read your review, because all the words were fucked up...no one is gonna wanna read what you write because its too hard to transcribe that crap you wrote to real english!
moving on
this song has wierd memories for me. a guy i liked at one time told me to download it, so i did. of course i ended up hating that guy, but i still love the song. to me i think this song is about someone whos had a tough life, someone who isnt taken seriously and pushed around. finds a girlfriend who i guess does the same thing so he gets sick of it and tells her he cant love her anymore. boy, that was fun.
sorry if i just pissed anyone off there...
I think this song is about a drug addicted kid whos Parents and Friends are always tossin him shit about his problems. This has taken such a toll on the person that they cant even enjoying simple things of life.......or have anyone take him serious!! so they pretty much say fuck off!!
I love this song. It is a shame that they didn't become more well-known.
One thought though: The bass at the beginning of the song reminds me of Nirvana's "Rape Me" Might just be me....
I thought of more along the lines of Heart Shaped Box

This song is very popular I think. I heard it many times without knowing the title or anything....
This movie perfectly describes the dynamics of that film by Mike Nichols called "Closer". At the end of the movie, this song should have been played. It's damn depressing enough for the film. Overall, it strikes a chord for anybody torn over breaking up or staying.
this song is great and the band has alot of other songs that are real good as well, came out in 99 and them and buckcherry i thought were gonna be huge but both got phased out for rap metal..at least oleander stayed together and has put out a couple of good albums.
I agree with Desaparecida This song has some great guitar solos too.
This is a great song. This song has been featured on the US compilation album "Now That's What I Call Music 3" (released 12-7-99).
its about a girl i think that has done something that has really hurt him and that she is the reason for the bad part of him and that its like he cant love her anymore cuz she does that to him
