You Can Love Her Lyrics

You can't stop her walking in the rain
But you might want to see her face someday
And you can't keep her from her little world
But you might want her someday for your girl
Keep your head and stop it spinning round
Keep your eyes wide open and you'll see her
Alone at night you count the stars above
Alone at night you're praying for her love
You can love her(4x)
You can't take her everywhere she goes
Cause the world's too complicated and you know that
You can't help the things she's learned in school
Like how she walks and who she knows 'cause it's too late
And you can't stop the tears she's saved for years
But you can hold her, you can make her understand
Just last night you saw her as an angel
Just last night she saw you as a man
You can love her(4x)
When I walked alone last night
I thought a lot about this story
I remember hearing you say
"She's the one, yeah, she's the only one for me"
"For me..."

i love this song! To me...it seems like a man is in love with a girl who is a little kooky and/or emotionally screwed up...and it's saying that the man can't fix her problems but...he can love her...

I like your meaning, thepuppydog26, but here's what I think it may be:

I think it's basicly saying, "You can't change who she is, but you can love her for who she is", and it's also saying "There's nothing you can do about who she is, and if you really love her, you'll understand that"

this song reminds me of whoever falls in love with my younger sister will think she has downs syndrom and is autistic. no one can change her, everyone can love her. but it can be kindof hard to be fair sometimes.

i think this song is about a mysterious girl who is a bit crazy but in a good way and about a boy who keeps chasing other girls but actually there is only one girl that he really wants. he's afraid of being hurt tho (or afraid of what everyone else might think of their relationship) and therefore won't give them a chance as he prefers to go for easy targets - normal girls, thus:

Keep your head and stop it spinning round Keep your eyes wide open and you'll see her

i think the second/third stanza refers to these two in the future realizing how the opportunity to create a great relationship has disappeared. now that they're adults they regret that they didn't give themselves a chance
