I hate you
I hate you
Shut up
Shut up

You think that I'm the one to blame
Everything I lose is just a piece of what there is to gain
You think it's cool and all is fine
Now is the day when you pay, this is my time

I feel for you nothing but pain
I am what you will be, you are dying in me
I love you, I hate you
I miss you

You're always thinking you're so perfect
Those thoughts drove me away from home
But if you put me through your tests
Then I will fail

I have nothing to say
But I feel like my mouth is open
Everything that is real
Comes around, comes around

Comes around (shut up)
Comes around (shut up)
Comes around (shut up)
Comes around (shut up)

Your stupid face just makes me sick
I see you changing every day to fit into the newest clique
I know you, but everything you do
Is just a part of you, you'll never see the truth

I hate the way you make me feel
I hate the way you think you're real
You one voice it destroys
My one choice

You're always thinking you're so perfect
Those thoughts drove me away from home
But if you put me through these tests
Then I will fail

I have nothing to say
But I feel like my mouth is open
Everything that is real
Comes around, comes around

I have nothing to say
But I feel like my mouth is open
Everything that is real
Comes around, comes around
Comes around

Tu vida
Es mía
Your fear
Is living here in me

Es que no entiendo cómo la vida puedes hacer
La paz entre nosotros, ¿cuándo lo vas a decir?
Y la gratitud que tú nunca vas a ver
Has now turned to hate

(I have nothing to say)
But I feel like my mouth is open
Everything that is real
Comes around, comes around

I have nothing to say
But I feel like my mouth is open
Everything that is real
Comes around, comes around
Comes around (shut up)

This song is awesome and this band rocks harder than a lot of the other "metal" bands that are too concerned w/ how scary they look to bother learning their instruments...This song is very spiteful. I'm hispanic, so for those of you who don't understand what he's saying in the bridge, he's basically just sayin that he doesn't understand how someone can be so messed up, and he's sayin how people tend to destroy the peace that's between them, and that often leads towards hatred....it's an awesome song

this band is amazing live!!! you have to see them, this song is currently now one of my fav.s and I can't stop listening to it, theres so many damn relationship songs out there but this is one of the few that actually made sense and touches people deeply, and the spanish lines in the bridge make it sound even better.

i was told by my friend who met them after the machine head gig in london december that it's about breaking up with his girlfriend who is an idiot. or something like that. basically he still loves her but realises that she's wrong for him or something. and that she's quite messed up.

I'm a DJ for a local rock station (kkbs.com -- I run the Sunday Night Music Meeting) -- I met Ill Nino during the Jaegermeister Tour when they came through Tulsa, OK. First off, let me say that they are some of the nicest guys I've ever met. Very cool to me, even though I was approximately half their size. Also, jenebeanie is absolutely right on what the song means. It's about a fight he had with an ex, and he's basically saying that all the shit she put him through is coming back around on her, now that he's gone. Cris and Laz said that all the songs on the CD were written from personal experience, with Cris (the lead singer) not even being able to listen to it afterwards because of the emotion he put into it. Also, you are all right: Ill Nino ROCKS live! They should have been headlining the Jaegermeister Tour, because they were ten times better than Drowning Pool, and I'm a DP fan! I highly recommend their CD, Revolution/Revolucion. Every track is good. P.S. -- Just a little pre-release note for you: Unreal will be the next single, within the next 6 months.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
