"The early years of Nine Inch Nails were pretty awful for Trent Reznor. After the first album, Pretty Hate Machine, was released, Trent found himself in an ugly legal battle with his record label-a battle that kept him and his band and his music out of circulation for a number of years.

The last thing Trent released before things went to hell was an single called Sin. If you know Trent and his records, you'll recognize this as "halo 4".

It featured three different versions of a song called "Sin" (which appeared on Pretty Hate Machine). These recordings took up tracks one, two and four. Sandwiched in there at track number three was Trent's version on an old song done by Queen back in the 70s. Over the years, it had become something of a show-stopper whenever Nine Inch Nails played live.

And the woman is taken from a Japanese porn video from a collection owned by Al Jourgensen of Ministry. He was the guy who insisted on using them. He helped Trent produce that part of the single."

Well, I love NIN...but this cover isn't all too great. Tolerable, yes...but not something I get all excited about when I hear it.

i have to admit i do enjoy listening to this song even with the lady having an orgam in the back round the song is just too damn catchy and i can't really despise anything by nin except for some of the songs on with teeth which almost made me cry when the cd came out but i still argue it is better then most of the stupid pointless shit that is out there.

This was alful, how could something which included Trent Reznor and Al Jourgensen, be so ......crap. A song with a sample of a woman getting getting an orgasm ruins it (althought it is a nice idea......). It ruins the orignal version.

it's a fucking Queen cover, as in cover of a Queen song. AS IN NOT DONE BY TRENT. There really are some numb people.

I like the original more, but this version is awesome, he really captures Freddie's Sexual Aggresiveness on this track. and the begginning is awesome.
