Circles

This song is not about Brandon's ex-lover, I'm sorry. His perspective and lyrics are too intellectual to be about his broken heart and revenge. He is stating a simple fact..all things move in circles. All life and things on earth..physically, biologically, etc. Jenster you are right on...what you put in you get out, it is the natural movement of life. I think he wants everyone to be aware of that (hence "...whatever it means you to, know that everything moves in circles.") The "You saw my lost in treading water..." and "I saw you standing in my headlights..." are examples of when it's time to realize that everything moves in circles and make decisions based off that: What will be the consequences and outcomes given all things move in circles? Things will either come back and bite you in the ass, or save you..depending on the decisions you make("..and the stones that fell were aiming away from me.")

circles has got to be about "what goes around comes around". so you get what you're putting out there. pretty self explanatory.

nah,dudes this songs about a dude that always asks for teh spliff to move alone quick! its like "dude,gimme a toke" but then brandons like saying "nah,dude,itll come round soon enough anyway!"

incubus circles was the first song i heard on the morning view cd, and i agree with jenster, thsi song is about how maybe a person had been bullied or controlled over, and those same thigns will turn right back on them

This is one of my favorites of MV, it means a lot to me. It is a good philosophy, lay off the revenge, it will eventually come back around to bite 'em in the ass. "reciprocity" is a good word, too.

I think this song means if you don't do something right the first time, keep trying and eventually you'll do it.

this album is the best all of its songs have such good meanings and i think this song means that you shouldnt worry about the revenge acuz itll came back around to do the same or even worse

I think maybe this means.. Brandon (or maybe a different Incubus boy) had their heart broken, and the girl that broke their heart saw them hurting "You saw me lost in treading water I looked pathetic and as helpless as a stinger without a bee" meaning pretty much she knew she had hurt him, and also.. "Round and round we go We could know when it ends so well We fall on and we fall off Existential carousel " i think that part means that as long as she keeps going around breaking peoples hearts, shes going to get her heart broken, its like and endless cycle against her untill she stops, because shes never gonna know how it feels till it happens to her :) just my thoughts

I think this song is a brill song about revenge, self control, Karma etc etc
