Daddy I want to drive today
I want to get up and go
Want to find some time
Mama I hear what you're sayin'
I want to feel alive and get inside

Hey I want to drive
I'm alright if you're alright

Tell me what to think
It's been years since we've been
Flyin'
Show me what you're seein'
I want to feel alive want to take this
Drive

General Commenti love this song cuz i can relate it my own life so much, its saying to your parents, hey i love u and all but try and understand me and let me do my own thing, not to rebel, but just to be yrself and be free

General Commenti agree with skibunnie. the song is about growing up and changing the rules. he's just trying to say that he's outgrown the past restrictions and he should have all of the privliges he deserves, despite his parent's unsureness. we wants to tell them that he'll be okay as long as its okay with them.

General CommentYeah, the "i'm alright if you're alright" line is the part [as skibunnie said] that says, "I don't want you to worry about me when i'm doing all this stuff on my own now"... mm, yeah, i basically repeated what was already perfectly put!
