I wanna get up and go
wanna find some time
Mama I hear what you're sayin'
I wanna feel alive and get inside
I'm alright if you're alright
hey I wanna drive
I'm alright if you're alright
it's been years since we've been
flyin'
show me what you're seein'
I wanna feel alive wanna take this
dive
I'm alright if you're alright
hey I wanna drive
I'm alright if you're alright
I'm alright if you're alright
hey I wanna drive
I'm alright if you're alright
you're alright

i love this song cuz i can relate it my own life so much, its saying to your parents, hey i love u and all but try and understand me and let me do my own thing, not to rebel, but just to be yrself and be free

i agree with skibunnie. the song is about growing up and changing the rules. he's just trying to say that he's outgrown the past restrictions and he should have all of the privliges he deserves, despite his parent's unsureness. we wants to tell them that he'll be okay as long as its okay with them.

This song is great one of my favorite Dispatch songs

i'm alright if you're alright.

Yeah, the "i'm alright if you're alright" line is the part [as skibunnie said] that says, "I don't want you to worry about me when i'm doing all this stuff on my own now"... mm, yeah, i basically repeated what was already perfectly put!
