this song is one of the most passionate of all time. the way that scott anderson just bleeds into the lyrics is awesome. they are band that is here to stay for me and they will never die, they will always live on through this song especially. just listen to the feelings pouring otu and you'll love it as much as i do

It's about the confusing emotions you feel after a break-up. You hate them because they betrayed you, but you're still in love with them.

All joking aside, I think Finger Eleven is just incredible. I almost cried when Tip got stolen from me, because where I live it's not that easy to find copies of their first album, only The Greyest of Blue Skies (which is also one of the few albums that I genuinely am in awe of every song; Tip too).

They're just... you can tell that they're actually FEELING what they're writing about.

The songs about, I think, him getting his dream come true because he's with this person, but he knows that he'll only slow her down and get in her way and that she's too good for him. Hence the lyrics "I'll get away from you Wait and I'll be begging I'll get away from you I'll pull you down I'll pull you down"

This is My Favorite Finger Eleven song and my 2nd favorite song of all time. I relate 100% to this song and i feel its about looking back on the past and on all your dreams of living happily but knowing your destined for hurt, pain, and sorrow. You're scared to let others in cause you don't want to drag them down with you but in the end your too scared to be alone and you'll always beg them back. Only to wish your dreams were reality where everything is simple but you know you always wake up.

I don't know who he's talking about escaping from, but it brings back memories I can't remember, and that I can only remember the impressions of. Somebody once trapped me like that. Maybe they still are. Fuck em all to hell.
