Valley of the Shadows

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death
I fear nothing.
'Cause You right here with me, Lord.
I walk through the black with the blood on the leaves,
Chains on my past, and the ghosts on my sleeves.
Demons in my rear view, thinking they got me,
But I ride with the King, no evil I fear.
No shepherd in sight, just the wolves and the cold,
But I grip on Your Word like the handle of gold.
Cracks in my soul, the world did me wrong,
I seen angels fall, I seen devils get strong,
But I still keep marching, 'coz Lord is on my side.
In the valley of the shadows, I roam,
But I ain't walking this road alone…
No fear in my mind, just faith in my heart,
'Cause I trust you, Lord.
In the valley of shadows, I see the light,
A fire in the darkness, a sword in the night.
I don’t fear no evil, no devil, no death;
‘Cause you walk beside me with every breath that I take.
So I walk with a limp but I walk like a king,
With scars on my crown and blood on my ring.
The pain was my teacher, the struggle, my fight,
But now I walk with You,
You're my strength,
My light.
