Psalm 46: Stroudwater Lyrics
Mar sin ged ghluaist’ an talamh trom, cha-n aobhar eagal duinn:
Ged thilgeadh fòs na sleibhte mòr’ am builsgein fairg’ is tuin
(Therefore, although the earth remove, we will not be afraid:
Though hills amidst the seas be cast)
Na h-uisgeacha le beucaich bhuirb, ged rachadh thar a cheil’:
Le’n ataireachd ged bhiodh air chrith na beanntan àrd’ gu leir
(Though waters roaring make, And troubled be; yea, though the hills
By swelling seas do shake)
Ta amhainn ann, le ’sruthaibh sèimh, ni cathair Dhe ro-ait;
Fior-àite naomh an ti a’s àird’, am bheil sior-chòhnuidh aig
(There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God
The holy place of the tabernacles of the most High)
Ged thilgeadh fòs na sleibhte mòr’ am builsgein fairg’ is tuin
Though hills amidst the seas be cast)
Le’n ataireachd ged bhiodh air chrith na beanntan àrd’ gu leir
By swelling seas do shake)
Fior-àite naomh an ti a’s àird’, am bheil sior-chòhnuidh aig
The holy place of the tabernacles of the most High)
