The track is a blatant critique of the influence of television on society, highlighting how people become addicted to the constant bombardment of information and entertainment, which ultimately leads to their manipulation by emphasizing the addictive nature of television and the degradation of the mind. It also focuses on the damaging effects of media manipulation by suggesting that the constant exposure to violence and conflict on television has entrapped and influenced people's thinking. The constant showing of death and violence devaluates the value of human lives since we're shown nothing but the worst of humanity.

It also reflects on the historical concerns surrounding the influence of television during the 1980s and 1990s when there was a rapid expansion of cable television and the rise of 24-hour news channels, fuelling fears of sensationalism and misinformation. In general, it's a blatant scathing critique of the influence of television and the control media has on society.
