Pretty simple song about a summer fling with a mentally ill girl/woman. Their relationship keeps stopping and starting again. The protagonist is stuck in a trauma bond and waits for her to come around again, no matter how brief it is, even though their relationship is unhealthy, hence "you are so inordinary" and "the same old girls they just won't do." Similar in theme to 2019's "Darkside" and 2011's "After Midnight."
