Ali’s Death

Ali rode his horse to the top of the Nurhak Mountain
Came to the Crater Lake
And took refuge in the cave
He had enough food
And water to believe he would survive the winter
When the cold winds blew
He huddled around a fire and dreamed of Zohre
But there was something strange about the mountain
And that cave in winter
The harsh wind
And biting snow roared past the open mouth of the cave
A deafening noise that invaded Ali’s peace
The cave in which he took refuge
Became a trap with a maddening noise
A constant buzzing that he could not escape
When winter passed
Ali was found dead in the cave
With his handwriting on the wall
‘I didn’t die from hunger or thirst
I died because of the buzzing of the mountains
When Zohre heard of Ali’s death
She took her own life to join him
My delicate lover I can’t forget you
Even days, months, years have passed
How to take the sweetness out of my memory
Know that, you are in my heart, in left side
Thinking now, the state of your timid heart
Your eyes staring with the beauty of seasons
I couldn’t even dare to kiss you
