To me this song tells the story of a brief interruption in a long distance relationship (a glitch) for whatever reason. Making the singer wonder if it was even really what she hoped it to be (counterfeit?).
During the absence, the singer tried to move on and be happy elsewhere, but it wasn't happening. But glitches can eventually straighten themselves out, and that seems to have happened between the two. This causes the singer to attach herself once again to the subject of her attraction, wanting to do that "dance that lovers do." 🎶🎵🎶
Of course the moon is out once again (blood lit for caution). The stars are shining once again, and a smile fills her heart. She's Not Sorry for what she's feeling....sometimes that's the way of romance.
