People come for miles around
Every weekend they can be found
Lookin’ and pointin’ at perfection in the sky
Airplanes flyin’ around
Did you see that little biplane
Standin’ on its tail
Slidin’ backwards towards us on the ground
Fallin’ through the smoke He rolls into a spin
A flyby and he’s wavin’ to the crowd
They fly so low, they fly so high

We come to see these pilots
The best are at the airshows
We all wait for the jets to go straight up,
Climbing outta sight
A moment of silence is broken with a roar
They pass us at the speed of light
A student solo pilot fires up a cub
We laugh at his attempt of flight
But you can tell that he’s a pro
To fly that bad you know
