“Kijin Fuurai” or “Gods & Demons Wander” Lyrics

“Kijin Fuurai”
by Schwardix Marvally

“Onigami" God who eats evil
No human beings ... The spirit of the "world"
Aim for the darkness
"Fujin" God who eats heaven
Phoenix peeling like Skanda
With Kamikaze
"Thunder God” (Raijin*) God who eats darkness
A life light that doesn't roar
Dance to Bakuten
God who eats the "dragon god" work
Indecent life short battle cry
Abolition does not get sick
Is the master-slave a "demon" or a “green" (*green perhaps meaning sick god? like the chaotic Fujin?)
to the god who spits out "weak"
Wait when you open your eyes
Forget to get lost in your dreams that are endlessly cursed
Too late to tamper with
Know yourself in a dream that is scattered in confusion
The trauma of the murdered heart can't be healed
Goodbye left frustrated because of a loved one
Is regret and loneliness for evolution?
"Slave murder" "Karma business virtue" "Devil dictatorship"

Notes by H. .. ~
*Oni means demon, and *Onigami is basically the leader demon or King Demon.
*Fujin is the Japanese god of wind and is a popular demon in Japanese folklore green in color often with red hair alongside his brother Raijin the thunder god (I think the vocalist is doing a sarcastic pun on both of them mixing their names therefor saying “Thunder God..” several verses later.
*Skanda and *Kamikaze (Here the vocalist is talking about a term in Japan they say a “skanda dash” meaning to run fast at something eagerly as the god of war Skanda or in Chinese Buddhism known as Wei-Tuo. Buddha was peaceful as for Skanda or Wei-Tuo he protected Dharma instead. So here the vocalist is making a pun on the “Skanda dashu” in Japanese saying it’s being reborn in destructive force as a Kamikaze fighter jet would do in WWII.
*Bakuten a Baku is a supernatural animal or creature in Japanese folklore that despite their demonic appearance are actually good? They feed on the dreams of humans mostly devouring nightmares ..it was said the Gods created them after the spare parts of creatures such as regular animals and are sacred in Japanese folklore. *Ten in Japanese means the sky or Heaven.
-The name of the song is called “Kijin Fuurai” Kijin are very powerful Gods and Demons in Japanese folklore ..Ki-demon Jin-god. As for fuurai has multiple meanings in Japanese the most traditional being “coming thunder” or “tree of thunder or sky” maybe he’s referencing the “tree of life” maybe? But in a more chaotic way..as fuurai can also mean frivolity, unpredictability, or erraticism…Also it can mean in a more slang sense a first timer in the red light district in Japan ie: coming frivolously or being basically erratic behavior. So the song title means in English , “Gods & Demons Wander” basically ..weird but makes sense reading the lyrics.
-Clearly the singer is singing about the Gods and Karma and what happens when you keep “good karma” or not..using Japanese “oni” and gods from ancient Japanese folklore (give or take the tiny tidbit on Skanda whom originated from Hinduism and Buddhism ;)~ H.
