Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
What the artist means
The unorthodox trap star is spitting over a familiar-sounding beat, he's crooning about all the negativity that he's been going through on a daily, he doesn't trust anyone or nobody anymore. He's singing and rapping about how much he misses having a real one to share the wins and losses with. He's thinking about why his ex-lover called him, he has nothing to say to her. He raps some bars about his growth in the music industry, it's getting harder because now he can't tell who's real and who's fake. How circle is getting more toxic, he's growing older but the circle gets more toxic, yet he tells himself that everything is going to be okay.
What the song means to me
This track has a pretty deep message and a couple of multilayered themes, but that doesn't stop it from being one of the catchiest around. The track is extremely soothing, it's just him showing off all his best attributes while easing from the heartbreak. The track is another staple in the already superpopulated emo trap movement, it's one of the most gorgeous though. The track has an advanced beat, it has one of the rapper's best verses in a while, and I couldn't get over those amazing 808s. I will give this song a rating of 8/10.
This standout off the artiste's latest project, an EP titled "Batbxy", was jointly produced by Shop w/ Trap, VDIDIT & Mike Gonsolin. The track was released via notable streaming platforms on January 1, 2021.
