Falling weak on my knees - Most likely refers to the defeats he has suffered, such as in DMC3 to Dante and Mundus and the defeat as a child such as in the manga Summon the strength of mayhem - Refers to his Devil Trigger and maybe even Sin Devil Trigger

I am the storm that is approaching - Reference to DMC3 where Arkham warns Vergil 'a storm is approaching'. Meaning that he's become the threat that others are warned about. Provoking black clouds in isolation - Talks himself as above storm clouds and another nod to his power and his loneliness. I am reclaimer of my name - Refers to his position in the Sparda family and talks about how he's going to take back his title of being feared, especially compared to Dante. Born in flames, I have been blessed - Another reference to the manga, where his Devil Trigger was awakened when Yamato was stabbed into his chest, and the flames part being a reference to the house during the ambush. My family crest is a demon of death! - Reference to his father, Sparda was capable of mass killings while being a devil himself. (Devils are a higher level of demons.) Forsakened, I am awakened - Talks about how he found his obsession with power while under the impression of being abandoned, shown in his thoughts during the attack of the manga, where he believed his mother and brother had left him for dead, also the place where he awakened his Devil Trigger. A phoenix's ash in dark divine - A reference to Devil Trigger, where it's a higher form of being, but since it's demonic, it's considered as dark divine. Descending misery - Refers to DMC1, where he was imprisoned as Nelo Angelo, being the worst time of his life, resulting in the three nightmares V uses after the split of his sides. Destiny chasing time - Talks about after his imprisonment of Nelo Angelo, where he was racing time to take Yamato back from Nero and split himself.

Inherit the nightmare - Reference to the nightmares and how he 'inherited' them from Mundus. Surrounded by fate - Talking about how the events were put in place the moment he dropped into the underworld. Can't run away - Talking about how they were stuck to him until he has split himself. Keep walking the line - Refers to the duality system of humans and demons. Vergil talks about how he used to stay balanced on that line before the ambush. Between the light - Another reference to his mother and brother, and how they molded him to act so gently until the ambush. Led astray - Talks about how acting so kindly placed him nowhere, and how those actions had led him away from fate.

Through vacant halls, I won't surrender - Talks about how he never really gave up, even after defeat, he never surrenders. The truth revealed in eyes of ember - Reference to the form of Mundus he saw, and how Mundus' actions showed that he was not as strong as he thought. We fight through fire and ice forever - Another reference to duality, and how Vergil's SDT design looks more like ice considering its color and how Dante's SDT design looks more like fire, and how they've been fighting for all of their lives so far. Two souls once lost, and now they remember - Final reference to Dante and how they were both 'lost' in DMC3 until the events of DMC5, where they remembered their 'purpose', in fighting.

Constellations of blood pirouette - Imagery on how efficiently he ends his enemy, to where his enemy's blood basically spins around him. Dancing through the graves of those who stand at my feet - Emphasis on how deadly he is, and how much he has killed. Dreams of the black throne I keep on repeat - Refers to the throne that Urizen sat on for months during the events of DMC5, and the smaller version he was sitting on just before the fight with Dante. A derelict of dark summoned from the ashes - Another reference to Nelo Angelo, and how it was shameful and it was created by the ashes of his consciousness. The puppet master congregates all the masses - Takes about his time as Urizen and how he commanded the demons. Pulling strings twisting minds as blades hit - Another reference on how he was the one pulling the strings as his time as Urizen. You want this power then come try and take it - A challenge to those who try to fight or kill Vergil.

Beyond the tree - Reference to the Qliphoth tree. Fire burns - Reference to the ambush and the fire of love. Secret love - Reference to his family, such as Dante and Nero, and how we secretly cares about them deeply. Bloodline yearns - Another reference to the Sparda bloodline. Dark minds embrace - Reference to his brother and their demonic heritage. Crimson joy - The joy he finds in killing. Does your dim heart Heal or destroy? - Questioning Dante if his brother's demonic self heal or destroy his light half.

Cast aside there’s no coming home - Reference to the manga and how he believed he was cast away by his family. We’re burning chaos in the wind Drifting in the ocean all alone - Talking about how he was in the end deserted and ultimately is alone.

Vergil was also stabbed multiple times by demons but activated his devil trigger and killed all of them.
