Come & Go Lyrics

[Intro]
Woah, uh
Oh, oh-oh, oh (Mello made it right, uh)

[Verse 1]
I try to be everything that I can
But sometimes, I come out as bein' nothin’
I try to be everything that I can
But sometimes, I come out as bein' nothin'
I pray to God that he make me a better man (Uh)
Maybe one day, I’ma stand for somethin'
I'm thankin' God that he made you part of the plan
I guess I ain't go through all that Hell for nothin'
I'm always fuckin' up and wreckin’ shit
It seems like I perfected it
I offer you my love
I hope you take it like some medicine
You tell me ain’t nobody better than me
I think that there's better than me
Hope you see the better in me
Always end up betterin’ me

[Chorus]
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don’t always come and go
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go

[Post-Chorus]
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go

[Verse 2]
We take drugs, then you hold me close
Then I tell you how you make me whole
Sometimes, I feel you like bein' alone
Then you tell me that I shoulda stayed in the room
Guess I got it all wrong all along, my fault
My mistakes probably wipe all the rights I've done
Sayin' goodbye to bygones, those are bygones
Head up, baby, stay strong, we gon' live long

[Chorus]
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go

[Post-Chorus]
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go
I don't wanna ruin this one
This type of love don't always come and go

“I'm always fucking up and wrecking shit, It seems like I perfected it”

“You tell me, ain't nobody better than me I think that there's better than me Hope you see the better in me Always end up bettering me”

These are the strongest lyrics. In content and word play.

“I pray to god that he make me a better man, uh Maybe one day I'ma stand for something I'm thankin' God that he made you part of the plan I guess I ain't go through all that hell for nothin'”

I love the confidence in referencing God as his truth/the truth and yet he doesn’t mask his prayer behind some lofty attempt at ecclesiastical sentiment. He throws his faith into his song, his statement, which is sparked by the personal failures he alludes to and he just explodes into authenticity by keeping it real and not omitting the offensive expletives and references to carnal sin that so many “Christians” would be appalled at outwardly but 100 percent identify with in their souls.

The artist is proving he’s so much more than the “nothing” he believes he portrays at times by the genuine relationship he obviously has with his creator. It’s honest. What makes him “something” is he knows he’s just another imperfect sinner, sure - but his intrinsic acceptance that God’s got his back is a faith that, again, so many “Christians” are missing the point on. Their relationship to this world, even in condemning it and judging it, is what severs their connection to their Maker. There’s no hope for them until that changes. This kid, though. Imperfect and flawed, he’s riding the waves of salvation simply because he knows who died to save him. He may not be perfect. But he knows who is - is looking out for him.

That’s hope. That’s faith.

Juice Wrld Come and Go is a tragic reminder of the effects personal insecurities can have. Juice had a tragic accidental overdose in December 2019. He was only twenty one, but he had already had his fair share of addictions and along with evil girls, and love, it’s one of his constant themes. If we take a look back to Lucid Dreams––the song that rose him to prominence––it’s all about a girl that played with his emotions and left. He feels so beaten from this experience he turns to Xanax, a legal, yet highly addictive anti-anxiety medicine to make him feel better. It doesn’t. At some point he even thought he was better off dead “You were my everything/ Thoughts of a wedding ring/ Now I'm just better off dead (Uh, uh, uh).” I’ve been in his situation before. When I was young and stupid my first real girlfriend broke up with me and for months I would get black out drunk. I couldn’t sleep, so I drank to feel peace, and rest.

This is where Come and Go differs. The song is not about an evil woman anymore, it’s about the right one. He thanks god and accepts all the pain he previously felt as obstacles that he needed to surpass in order to grow “I'm thankin' God that he made you part of the plan/I guess I ain't go through all that Hell for nothin'.” However Come and Go is not a happy song. Wrld is still taking pills, not only that, but he is insecure about himself because of what happened in his past “You tell me ain’t nobody better than me/I think that there's better than me.” If Lucid Dreams was about the mistakes you make after a break up, then Come and Go is about the difficulty of accepting yourself after all those mistakes. This is why the two songs are intertwined. One song reflects a troubled history, while the other shows growth, and doubt. Without Lucid Dreams there will be no Come and Go.

We have all felt in some way or another undeserving. Whether it be of love, or a better life, but you shouldn’t. Wrld shows us that struggle, even if it’s painful, leads to growth. I hope the album ends with Wrld accepting he was worthy of love all along, because he was, as are you.

Come & Go had such a big surprise element to it because of the heavy guitar work! I definitely was not expecting it and it makes it a unique and catchy song. I also really enjoy the upbeat rhythm of this song. The lyrics are meaningful and have a profound meaning. It talks about how quality relationships don't always come and the importance of not making any mistakes that could ruin something so perfect. In life we all make mistakes and sometimes we mess up a great relationship. The heavy guitar in sync with the lyrics really brings emotion and nostalgia to me. This collaboration of Juice WRLD & Marshmello is absolutely spectacular!

What the song means to me and my opinion In this life, no one is perfect. No matter how hard one tries, he/she might not always get it right. But one has to keep his/her head high, never back down. Everything that happens, God has a plan; all the heartbreaks even the ones I caused myself are all in that plan. But when the one that makes me think better and act better of myself comes, I will try not to make the same mistakes again, I will try to be open-minded, I will learn to give my all and my love. I will give this song a rating of 9/10

Factual Research This song was released July 9th 2020 though a previous version leaked August 18th 2019. Marshmello produced the song and this is not the first time these artists have had a collaboration before. This song is the fourth promotional single from the upcoming studio album “Legends Never Die” to be released July 10th 2020.

What the artist means Juice wanted to be a better man, he tried so hard to do just about anything but nothing worked for him. He felt alone but then came that special one-he thanked God for making her part of the plan. He felt anything he touched, he destroyed. He did not want to lose this one as well. She turned his life around, made his life blissful, made him a better man. His mind played games with him, took control of his actions, and things started crumbling before his very eyes. But he still wanted that one to work, that type of love does not come easily.

The song "Come & Go" by Juice WRLD and Marshmello was released on July 10th, 2020 as a part of his newest album "Legends Never Die." Come & Go is a great addition to his album since it talks about his past mistakes and regrets and how he might never get a chance to say sorry. I, and a lot of others, don't know his love life personally, but from the song, it seems like he did something that he regrets with a past girlfriend, and he's wanting for her to see him in a different way before it's too late.

In my opinion, the vibes of the song don't match the music that plays in the background. The song is meant to be in a depressing way due to its message and the fact that Juice WRLD is no longer with us, meaning that in a way, one of his worst nightmares came true. Marshmello's chorus makes it seem like the song is happier than it sounds (it's still a great song in my opinion). The bass, the echos, and the melody sounds amazing, but to me, the chorus doesn't match Juice WRLD's message.

Love believes that you can be something to someone, and that is what the first verse is all about. All through life, you keep trying to impress, but everything you do is never the best, and you feel like you amount to nothing. As the singer echoes, ‘it seems like I perfected it’, being disastrous. However, love is indeed the disaster waiting to happen, and when it does, he advises that ‘take it like medicine’.

The song indicates that finding the perfect person and growing that love should help you become a better person. Love brings hope, and it’s obvious in life that anyone who loves you tries to bring out the best in you even though it does not always work.

The song is about a person who is broken and sees himself as a failure. Then he finds love and decides he can be better. Love comes with its challenges such as misunderstandings, the past often disrupts more, and the future is bleak. However, if the two are willing to forge ahead, they must ‘stay strong’.

I believe that there is nothing in life you can ask for other than a trusting, loving and dependable partner to hold your hand through life. That is the moral lesson of the story that you keep trying to hold it together as that kind of love doesn’t always come, and once you let it go, you will never find it again!
