Lovely Navigator Lyrics

If I build a rocket in the garden
A budget way of public traveling
Maybe there's a vacancy at NASA
With a salary for singers losing confidence to sing

And I scavenge for fuel for ideal velocity
And fifteen miles up, I earn my wings
I build a helmet from an unused fish bowl
And a duvet for my parachute landing

I promise that I won't be long for too long
I just wanna feel the loss of gravity
Is there any way to feel this weightless,
Without a ticket to Israel?
And go and swim in the Dead Sea?

So I build a rocket in the garden
And I schedule the launch for Sunday Eve
Experience one beautiful orbit
With the optimising that I'd still make it home for tea

If all goes well, I'll be the first of many
Pioneers of DIY astronomy
Adventurers of the great beyond
I can hear the slogan in the song
The sky's no limit for me

I think I need a build a bigger rocket
One with a second seat right next to me
You can be my lovely navigator
And I can offer you the world for free
