It never ended it just kind of fell apart
I always knew that it was falling from the start
But when we find our way to shelter from the rain
We all remain unless the roof is coming down
Wise words won’t change this
Time won’t be turned around
Your scattered claim to fame would warm a frozen heart
And I would listen on for hours in the dark
It never mattered at all if it was true
In the moment it was all that could be found
Hindsight can’t change this
Time won’t be turned around
If I could see you now I don’t know what I’d say
It doesn’t bother me that there’s no other way
Some things we plant but they never get to grow
But waiting’s half the life to hear the budding sound
