Watch their slow breaths,
watch the cages be their forever homes because humans neglect them.

A child walking home from school is bullied and beaten.
He had just expressed his love for the high school jock of his dreams.
He's bleeding from his head,
bleeding from his lips,
bleeding from his heart.
Rejected from the world,
left in the darkness of a closet to maybe never come out.
As the bully is praised as his local church for kindness.
