Norman Fucking Rockwell Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Goddamn, man-child
You fucked me so good that I almost said, "I love you"
You're fun and you’re wild
But you don't know the half of the shit that you put me through
Your poetry's bad and you blame the news
But I can’t change that, and I can't change your mood
Ah-ah

[Chorus]
'Cause you're just a man
It's just what you do
Your head in your hands
As you color me blue
Yeah, you're just a man
All through and through
Your head in my hands
As you color me blue
Blue, blue, blue

[Verse 2]
Goddamn, man-child
You act like a kid even though you stand six foot two
Self-loathing poet, President Moro, can you know it all?
You talk to the walls when the party gets bored of you
But I don't get bored, just see you through
Why wait for the best when I could have you?
You-oh-oh

[Chorus]
'Cause you’re just a man
It’s just what you do
Your head in your hands
As you color me blue
Yeah, you're just a man
All through and through
Your head in my hands
As you color me blue
Blue, blue

[Outro]
You make me blue
Blue, blue, blue
Blue, blue, blue

I don't see a lot of people talking about this, but this song is clearly about Trump.

What's genius about this song is the ambiguity and double meaning thoughout the lyrics, that makes people think is just another love song. And it is, kinda, she's picturing Trump and America as a couple that never worked together.

Let's analyse all the references to trump

"Goddamn, man-child You fucked me so good that I almost said: I love you" The ambiguity I was talking about. She's talking about how Trump "fucked" america - and her as well, as an american citzen. And she's being ironic, using the double meaning of the world fuck (that has a sexual conotation) and saying that he fucked her/america so good that she almost said I love you.

"You're fun, and you're wild But you don't know the half of the shit that you put me through" Trump is "fun" and "wild", in the sense that he is loud and foul, and likes to put up a show. But him being "fun" doesn't change the fact that he's fucking America.

"Your poetry's bad, and you blame the news" Again, he is foul and not big on words. And he likes blame the news/midia whenever is convinient to him.

"You act like a kid even though you stand six foot two" Pretty self explanatory. And btw, Trump is 6'2''.

"You talk to the walls when the party gets bored of you" ambiguity again. I don't need to say how "walls" relate to Trump. And the party here, is the political party - republicians - whom Trump had a few frictions during his mandate.
