How many stars? How many moons?
Count them all, it'd be too soon
By the time I searched my mind for a better rhyme
It's June
If I could sing, if I could croon
If I could only write the tune
That would make you take me to your room
It's a heaven there, I'd assume

But up there is a stratosphere
And I'd like to take you there (I'd like to take you there)
I'm not sure I know the way (I'm not sure I know the way)
But I hate to hear you say (I hate to hear you say)
You wanna throw yourself in the river
And ask to be delivered to the ocean
You wanna throw yourself in the river
And expect to be considered more than a casual news item

Why should I get so nervous
When she'd consider suicide first?
How could my love be that much worse?
How could I be that much worse?
Well, it sounded pretty good rehearsed in my head
But as soon as I said it, I wished I was dead
So we've something in common after all
So I turned and said (So I turned and said)

But up there is a stratosphere
And I'd like to take you there (I'd like to take you there)
I'm not sure I know the way (I'm not sure I know the way)
But I hate to hear you say (I hate to hear you say)
You wanna throw yourself in the river
And ask to be delivered to the ocean
You wanna throw yourself in the river
And expect to be considered more than a casual news item

Na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na-na-na
Well, I bet we'd make a bigger splash if we did it together
If we both throw ourselves in the river
And ask to be delivered to the ocean
If we both throw ourselves in the river
We're sure to get something bigger than a passing mention
A passing mention (Throw ourselves in the river)
Na-na-na, a passing mention (Ask to be delivered to the ocean)

How many stars?
How many moons?
How many stars?
How many moons?
How many stars?
How many moons?

Start working at home with Google. It’s the most-financially rewarding I've ever done. On Tuesday I got a gorgeous BMW after having earned $36259 this last month. I actually started five months/ago and practically straight away was bringing in at least $96, per-hour. visit this site right here. Internet32.com

Word Alive, The
This song is def a twin to "Unfair" (a song she has been quoted as saying is about falling in love with someone who is already in a relationship) so it is presumably about the same person. Given the references to buying an apartment and not being able to see her love interest "after tonight," it's most likely that she's moving away and she'll "wait a day to break the bad news" (i.e. notifying him that she's leaving once she's already gone). And, of course, the fact that she sees in him a fellow "idealist" and "dreamer" (terms commonly given to people with the INFP personality on the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)) portends that she'll always be left wondering if they would've been perfect together.

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
