Then I Won't Sing No More Lyrics

We're just a bird who fell to shore
No grace in how things end I know
But its true
Some life does shine on through
Will we slowly reappear
Little walks until we're new?

Now in some car
I drive too fast
Outrace some memories, I guess
Yes I know, but love just won't let go
Can I slowly disappear
And drive like someone new?

Arms are hungry but they don't know
If you will come by here again
And the summer just whisper on
These sad songs must come to an end
It's my bird, I will let it go
Yes, I know
Aw, and then I won't sing no more

We're just a pattern in the wild
We line right up and tell the times
To not change
How can we remain
When sun and showers reappear
And this is how we grow

Arms are hungry but they don't know
If you will come by here again
And the summer just whispers on
These sad songs must come to an end
It's my bird, I will let it go
Yes I know
And then I won't sing no more

We're just a bird who fell to shore
I love you dear
Be safe, you know?
It's all true, life does shine on through
And these hours disappear
Like the skies that we once knew

Cover art for Then I Won't Sing No More lyrics by Tallest Man on Earth, The

I think he is singing about an ending of a relationship. "We're just a bird who fell to shore" is the coincidence of him and his now former partners. The both "fell out of the nest" and into each others world, not knowing how things will end up.

"No grace in how things end, I know". - And now they come to an end in their relationship, and he is not aware what will happen from now on, but he is sure of one thing "some life does shine on through" which i interprets as some kind of undefined hope. He doesn't know if he "shine on" after the ending of the relationship.

"Will we slowly reappear Little walks until we're new?" - I think he is knowing that if you give yourself time and take small steps, at some point you will find yourself again and reappear.

"Now in some car I drive too fast Outrace some memories, I guess Yes I know, but love just won't let go Can I slowly disappear And drive like someone new?" - Pretty obviously lines. He is trying to flee from the memories by driving and outrace/erase the memories, but he can't let go of his feelings.

"Arms are hungry but they don't know If you will come by here again" - His mind and his body is missing his partner from the ended relationship, and he does not know, if he is ever going to hold her again.

"And the summer just whisper on These sad songs must come to an end" - His summer is cold because of his feelings to a person that he can't let go of. But he also knows that "these sad songs must come to and end" and that he have to move on soon.

"It's my bird, I will let it go Yes, I know Aw, and then I won't sing no more" - The feeling is like a bird trapped and he must let it fly away along with his feeling for her, because he know that is the right thing to do, and when he "let it go" he won't talk/think (sing") about her more.
