Caesar Rock Lyrics

[Intro]
The Caesar rock
The Caesar rock
The Caesar rock

[Verse 1]
If I could find the words
To talk about my woman
Well I would surely shout them out
But every time I feel my inspiration coming
It's all too much, it won't come out

[Verse 2]
'Cause she break me up, she take me down
She send my sideways
She rip me every way I turn
If I was back to school
She gotta be my favorite teacher
There's such a lot for me to learn

[Chorus]
'Cause she's a rock (yeah), yeah she's a rock (yeah)
She's a rock, she's a rock

[Verse 2]
Somehow she always knows
Exactly what is needed
When I've been runnin' 'round and 'round
And if she wants me then I'll know that I succeeded
I'll be heading back in town

[Chorus]
She's a rock, she's a rock
She's a rock, she's a rock

[Bridge]
Caesar rock, Caesar rock
Caesar rock, Caesar rock

[Outro]
(hey) She's a, she's a, she's a, she's a, she's a, she's a, she's a, she's a, she's a, she's a
Yeah now she's a rock (She's a rock)
Woohoo
She's got loyalty
Like the royalty
She's got symmetry
And ah-liberty
Sh-She's got all the looks

Cover art for Caesar Rock lyrics by Paul McCartney

This is an example of why I don't think Paul is anything without the Beatles. When he and John wrote, every word, every beat was magic. John carried it on as an individual artist, George carried it on, but Paul, in my opinion did not. This song comes close to being good. At best, it's good, not even very good. They took liberties as Beatles with lyrics that didn't make perfect sense, but they'd have extraordinary melody. The music on this is okay, but, so often with him, he doesn't word things like he/they did as Beatles. As a Beatle, they would tell a story where using EVERY word well. He just doesn't. "Your matching teeth," "symmetry," "liberty," he's just rhyming words. The verse, "If I could find the words to talk about my woman," is perfect. It tells a story, using every word, every beat. John told stories, George told stories. Paul's melodies are lacking, too. Sometimes, he just pounds on his piano "Come On To Me" or he just shouts. I'll get creamed for writing this, I know. I love and adore the Beatles, Lennon and McCartney were THE best writing duo of all time, they were pure magic, IMHO. Yes, I know that Paul wrote some of the songs totally independently, he must have had more confidence or something. After the Beatles, I don't think Paul is any big deal at all. When you attack what I have just written, if you don't attack me personally, I would be much obliged.
