DoM has talked with Vice about his addiction to heroin and opioids in the past. The lyrics sound like a metaphor for recovery (especially since he mentions "stabbing eights" which I think refers to intravenously abusing schedule 8 narcotics). This song feels very dark to me and I hope he's doing okay.
