The Price of Time Lyrics

We hold on to yesturyears like treasures to behold.
We fear our stories lost, if they are not told.
Now hold these pictures in your in your mind of lives past lived.
They’re part of who we are; never forget what they give.

One man’s teasure is another’s cast away.
It’s all in how you view it; vintage or decayed?

Do you know the value of it all?
Do you know the price of time you’ll find?

Discovering the past; one article, one find.
Hidden in some old barn, tucked away from time.
A chance to own it all, to call it mine

But do I really know

The price of time?

This ground I walk upon has been known to some before.
Someone’s home and country, dreams, and so much more
These headstones standing here through the rain, wind, and storm
Their dates don’t tell the lives of the men and women mourned.

Chorus
The price of time

Inspired by the TV show Pickers, I wrote this song. I love antiques shopping, old stories, and history. Now that I'm 50, I am an antique with old stories and plenty of history!
