Can you hear me say your name forever?
Can you see me longing for you forever?
Would you let me touch your soul forever?
Can you feel me longing for you forever, forever?

I know the light grows darker down below
But in your eyes it's gone before you know
This is the moment of just letting go

She said, "If you had life eternal"

Can you hear me say your name forever?
Can you see me longing for you forever, forever?
Would you let me touch your soul forever?
Can you feel me longing for you forever, forever?

We dance once more
I feel your hands are cold
Within your heart, a story to be told
This is the moment of just letting go
This is the moment of just letting go

(This is the moment of just letting go)
(This is the moment of just letting go)
(She said)

Can you hear me say your name forever?
Can you see me longing for you forever, forever?
Would you let me touch your soul forever?
Can you feel me longing for you forever and ever?

(Forever) forever, (forever) forever, (forever) forever
(Forever) forever, (forever) forever, (forever) forever
(Forever) forever, (forever) forever, (forever) forever
(Forever) forever, (forever) forever, (forever) forever

(Forever) forever, (forever) forever, (forever) forever
(Forever) forever, (forever) forever, (forever) forever
If you had life eternal?

    My Interpretation

If you watch the video (not sure if this is Ghost-official or not: youtu.be/hvMiSWqvi7w) you see a happy young couple falling in love. In a sudden plot twist, the girl is happily surprised by the guy with a glowing pentagram where (SPOILER ALERT!) he proceeds to nail her to a cross and then set her on fire. She's clearly consented to being sacrificed to Satan, presumably (to me, anyway) with the promise of eternal life together in Hell. Not to be overlooked is a brief moment where the girl sees that the guy is wearing the same Ghost necklace that she is, and she laughs like it's just the funniest thing ever, despite her impending demise.

Ladies, this is what real love looks like. Don't even waste my time if you're not going to let me sacrifice you to Satan. \m/ <3

On a deeper level, I suspect that we're meant to see that a crucifixion or a human sacrifice as a pathway to eternal life is batshit crazy bullshit, not to be believed by any thinking person.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
