I think the song is basically about enjoying where the relationship is right now, and not trying to define the relationship or figure out what it all means, or if you are in love and/or not. He is stating that he doesn't have anything on his mind and he doesn't want to think about it, he just wants to enjoy the now. It sounds like the songwriter's partner is asking him about where they are, and what is in his head, and he doesn't want to discuss, he just wants to sip pink lemonade and enjoy their time together. This is about letting things grow organically and to get out of your head.
It's caring about someone enough to push them away when you realize you're not right for each other, no matter how much it hurts or how much you both may want it to work. IMO Delta Spirit's very similar track "California" captured the bittersweet ache of that better.
